Beth does much of her writing in her “Big Island Writers’ Workshops” in both Hawaii and on the mainland. For many years, she wrote scripts and was a story editor for animated TV series. Beth was part of the Emmy-Award winning team of writers on Steven Spielberg’s Tiny Tunes Adventures. Other series include Batman, He Man and the Masters of the Universe, GI Joe, Transformers, My Little Pony, Jem and the Holograms, Doug, Street Frogs, Tigersharks, Silverhawks, Thundercats, Scooby-Doo, and Fat Albert. Beth co-wrote and co-directed, with Iva Peele, the independent film, The Road To Q’ero: A Journey Home, which was shown as part of the Waimea Ocean Film Festival. This film won an honorable mention in the 2013 International Film Festival for Environment, Health, and Culture. She wrote the script for a theater-dance piece that she also performed in, Que Suenes Con Las Angelitas, which debuted at the Kahilu Theatre on the Big Island of Hawaii and then went on a subsequent tour of the Hawaiian Islands, before heading to Jazz at Lincoln Center in NYC. Que Suenes was a collaboration with dancer / choreographer Angel Prince. Beth writes poetry, has essays in a number of published anthologies, most recently Amy Ferris’s Shades of Blue, published by Seal Press. She is currently working on a memoir.
